Sue Hullquist, ASSIST Program coordinator, was born in Worchester, Mass., and was raised in South Lancaster, Mass. Additionally, she has lived in Maine, New Jersey, Kansas, Nebraska, Michigan, Florida, Maryland, New York and now Georgia.
Sue received an Associate’s degree in Nursing in 1973. She has worked as a nurse in a number of areas, including labor and delivery, outpatient surgery supervisor, quality assurance director and various nursing home administrative roles. She has also served as CFO for TEACH Services, a Seventh-day Adventist publishing company.
Sue is married to Tim, and she has two adult children. She also has two granddaughters and three grandsons.
Sue’s current role at Georgia-Cumberland Academy as the ASSIST Program coordinator involves developing and strengthening the program by helping students to view their senior mentors with respect. She wants the students to learn from the mentors’ years of experience while also helping the seniors in meeting their needs and being a blessing to them.Sue says that she finds her work at GCA to be both exciting and rewarding.
