Heidi Sigler, school nurse, was born in Wapato, Wash., and raised in Carbondale, Colo. She has lived in many place over the years, including, Yakima, Wash.; Mt. Vernon, Wash.; Bismarck, N.D.; Lincoln, Neb.; Berrien Springs, Mich.; Boulder, Colo.; Minnetonka, Min..; Orcas Island, Wash., Thornton, Colo., and now Calhoun, Ga.

Heidi graduated from Dakota Adventist Academy in 1997. She then attended Andrews University and Union College, and earned her Bachelor’s degree in nursing from Union in 2002. Heidi worked in labor and delivery for most of her career, though she also has experience in the areas of assisted living and private practice.

Heidi and her husband Nick, who teaches at Georgia-Cumberland Academy, have been married for 12 years. They have three young sons: Soren, Simon and Slate.

Heidi enjoys the diversity of medical care that being a school nurse requires. She also enjoys the chance to get to know her patients on a long-term basis, something that hospital nursing doesn’t normally provide.

“It is refreshing to get to know the students and see them grow and change throughout the year,” said Heidi.
