Bio

Bruce Boggess, English and history teacher, was born in Coldwater, Mich., and spent 10 years of his childhood there before living in Louisiana, California, and Maryland. He has also lived in Tennessee, and now Georgia.

Bruce attended Southern Adventist University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in history in 1998, and a Master’s degree in history education in 2015.

Bruce is married to Dori, director of learning resources at GCA. They have three boys- Cole, Jack, and Garrett. The family are all “die-hard” Pittsburgh Steelers fans, and also love to travel.

Bruce teaches history and English, and additionally coaches the Acroflyers gymnastics team. He enjoys being able to contribute to the success of Georgia-Cumberland Academy, and considers the school to be one of the best he’s worked for.
